Lately, there has been a lot of praise for the 2025 Nissan Armada. The new large SUV is just arriving at Dick Smith Nissan of Columbia, and the reviews are coming in.

TheDrive.com website published its take on the 2025 Armada Platinum Reserve and Pro-4X, the most luxurious SUV ever sold by Nissan. Their immediate take was that “if any Nissan comes close to feeling like an $80,000 car, it’s the Armada Platinum Reserve.”

High praise for a praise-worthy vehicle. The 2025 Armada gets its power from a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that puts down 425 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. The power increase and delivery were certainly something TheDrive.com team appreciated.

One test the Drive.com team executed was towing a 5,500-pound Airstream trailer behind the 2025 Armada Pro-4X. The testers stated that the towing experience was good and that power was never an issue.” They were also impressed by the downhill engine braking with the trailer attached.

One goal Nissan had for the 2025 Armada was to strengthen it, offering a solid structure to ensure security for its occupants. TheDrive.com noticed this immediately and stated the Armada’s “25% greater torsional rigidity than [the 2024 model] and lateral stiffness that’s been increased by 57%.” They also appreciated the built-in confidence the 2025 Armada exudes as it rolls down the highway.

Ride quality was another thing that TheDrive.com team really liked. They said that the 2025 Armada Platinum Reserve “just coasts with four-corner adaptive air suspension and lets in almost zero road noise.” One of the goals of the Armada is to up the driving experience, giving passengers a smooth ride without any interference from the outside.

Back to the Pro-4X, TheDrive.com also praised the 2025 Armada’s off-road ability. They tested it after a huge rainstorm that made conditions more challenging than usual. However, the testers found that “traction was still no big issue thanks to a locking rear differential and 33-inch…all-terrain [tires].”

One attraction to the 2025 Armada Platinum Reserve was its “killer” 12-speaker Klipsch Premium Audio System. With its DualPower subwoofer, TheDrive.com team simply fell in love with it. They even stated it was better than an optional audio system on a much more expensive SUV worth six figures.
