2025 Nissan Sentra

Performance

Powering the Sentra is a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine that produces 149 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque combined with a continuously variable transmission, or CVT.  

In testing by Car and Driver magazine, the Nissan Sentra SR went from 0 to 60 in 9.2 seconds and stopped from 70 mph in an impressive 170 feet. Thanks to its independent rear suspension, the Sentra not only feels sporty to drive but is also more controllable in certain driving situations.  

Thanks in part to its stylish and sporty design, the Sentra is very fuel efficient, achieving 30 mpg in the city and up to 40 mpg on the highway.  

Exterior

The latest design, which was released in 2020, still looks fresh for 2025, with the Nissan V-motion grille and chrome trim. The headlights are attractive, and the black interior bezels offer a premium look and feel.  

While the Sentra is a smaller car, it actually has good proportions. With an overall length of 182.9 inches, it offers good room for passengers and their luggage.  

Sentra S and SV models feature a 16-inch wheel with 17-inch wheels optional on the SV. The top-line SR model has 18-inch wheels as standard.  

SR Sentra models have dark chrome accents on the front grille and red SR badges on the front and rear to differentiate them from other models. The front and rear fascia help to give the SR a premium look with a more aggressive and sportier stance.  

Interior

With 14.3 cu.ft. of trunk space, the Sentra isn’t just another “small” car; it has more cargo capacity than a Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Inside the vehicle, passengers will have 96.1 cu.ft. of overall volume. The rear seats can also be folded to add extra storage capacity, making the Sentra a flexible car for all types of owners.  

Standard Nissan Zero Gravity seats help to minimize driver and passenger fatigue on long trips by giving them better posture while in the car.  

With the All-Weather Package option, owners get dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and remote engine start. This allows you to cool down or warm up the interior before you get in your Sentra to drive off.  

The SV model can be optioned with leather seats front and rear with a 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat, 2-way lumbar, leather shift knob, two rear cupholders, and a rear armrest. The SR Premium Package further adds a heated steering wheel.

Technology

The Sentra features a nice suite of tech features, including a 4.2-inch multi-information display in the instrument cluster. A 7-inch touchscreen infotainment is standard on Sentra S, with SV and SR models having an 8-inch touchscreen display and a 7-inch Advanced Drive-Assist Display in the instrument cluster. 

Buyers who choose the SV Premium or SR Premium Packages will add a Bose Premium Audio System, which features eight speakers.  

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard features on SV and SR Sentra models, plus SiriusXM Radio.  

All models come standard with Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, and a hands-free text message assistant, which is perfect for drivers of all ages to keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel. Also standard is a 12-volt power outlet.  

S models have a single USB-A port in the front, while the SV and SR models have a USB-A and USB-C for the front seats with a single USB-A charging port for rear passengers.  

Buyers can now add the available NissanConnect Services package to the 2025 Sentra SV trim that brings access to a WiFi Hotspot, SiriusXM with 5-year select and 3-year premium channels and packages, plus various features through the MyNISSAN mobile app.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 gives owners confidence with six advanced driver-assist systems that include Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, and Rear Automatic Braking. A class-exclusive Intelligent Forward Collision Warning system is also standard on all Sentra models. It also includes a haptic feedback steering wheel that vibrates for drivers during emergency situations, and the Sentra also gives audio cues. Also standard is the Easy-Fill Tire Alert System, which honks the horn when you have filled a tire to the correct tire pressure, ensuring you do not overfill your tires. Rear Door Alert also alerts drivers to potentially forgotten items in the rear seats of the Sentra after a long trip.  

Buyers can add the Intelligent Driver Alertness and Intelligent Around View Monitor, which uses the vehicle’s cameras to give a 360-degree view of the car when parking or reversing. This is, of course, ideal if you have children or pets.
