The New Nissan Murano Brings Style And Luxury To The Class

The Nissan Murano was first introduced for the 2003 model year as a premium mid-size two-row SUV that gave everyone a special feeling inside while setting design trends on the outside. It is good to know that its original mission has not changed.  

The new 2025 Murano has been turning a lot of heads lately. Cars.com recently had some seat time in the latest generation of our style maker. They said, “Nissan’s Murano returns to being a trendsetter for the 2025 model year, but its beauty runs more than just skin-deep.” 

The design itself is eye-catching. They took some of what made the previous Murano generations stand out in the past and melded newer elements seen on the latest Nissan models onto it. Cars.com used the terms “elegant” and “bold” to describe it. They even heralded the return of style back to the Murano, calling it akin to being a fashion leader. 

Another word they use to describe the new interior is “sumptuous.” Nissan combined its efforts towards creating a tech-friendly cabin with Murano’s history of being more premium and luxurious than its rivals. The standard dual 12.3-inch displays were designed to wrap into their surroundings with stitched materials. You are surrounded by softer materials than before, befitting its premium/luxury feel.  

One feature you will notice is the unique dashboard finisher called Murano Glass. It incorporates color-shift graphics and textures that play with light. Inspired by and named for the famed Venetian glassworks that gave the crossover its name, this multi-leveled feature exemplifies the vehicle’s attention to craftsmanship and high-quality details.

Cars.com also praised the switch to the Variable-Compression turbocharged 2.0-liter engine. With 241 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, it does a very good job in powering the 2025 Murano with ease. New to the 2025 Murano is a nine-speed automatic transmission. They heaped some praise on the new transmission, saying that it was “beautifully tuned to keep the engine in its torquey sweet spot, allowing for curvy road athletics.” In all, Cars.com said that the 2025 Murano was “fun to drive.”
