The Beautiful And Powerful Nissan Armada NISMO, Towing A Heavy Load With Ease

Less than a year after redesigning its full-size Armada body-on-frame 3-row SUV, Nissan is adding the boldest Armada trim ever to the lineup. Dick Smith Nissan of Columbia is proud to announce that for the 2026 model year, Nissan will offer the Armada NISMO. This is the first time a NISMO model has been part of the Armada lineup.

The Nissan Armada NISMO Beside A Racing Car

With a name derived from “Nissan Motorsport,” NISMO represents the ultimate in Nissan performance, inspired by the most demanding proving ground – the racetrack. It consists of an elite team of engineers and test drivers dedicated to creating NISMO road cars that offer a uniquely exciting and genuine experience. Usually linked with various generations of Nissan Z models, the GT-R, and even the 2017–2019 Sentra, NISMO has added enhanced performance and a tuner vibe to all these cars, but this is the first time it has been applied to something like the Armada.

The Powerful And Dependable Engine Of The 2026 Nissan Armada NISMO

Building on more than 40 years of NISMO performance expertise, the NISMO transformation of the Armada begins by adding 35 more horsepower to its 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, for a total of 460 horsepower. The enhancements include a less restrictive exhaust, remapped engine programming, and improved fine-tuning of valve clearances. For the chassis, NISMO engineers retuned the electric power steering for better feedback and added an Adaptive Electronic Air Suspension for a more engaging driving experience. NISMO-specific 22-inch forged alloy rims are wrapped in higher-performance all-season tires to help improve handling, steering, and braking.

With improved performance and handling, they ensured that the NISMO looked the part while also boosting aerodynamics. Edges are accented with the traditional NISMO red trim, and the model features a revised grille, new side steps, and a rear spoiler designed by NISMO. Fender flares highlight the wider stance of the model, LED fog lights have been added, and red-painted brake calipers peek through the wheels.

The NISMO Armada cabin features quilted leather in a charcoal finish with red accents and stitching. Adjustable side bolsters on the front seats help keep occupants in place during spirited driving. Also present are aluminum pedals and multicolor ambient lighting.

Those interested in Armada’s towing capabilities will be pleased to see that the model maintains the same 8,500 lb. towing capacity despite all the mechanical upgrades. This means you can make a statement when arriving at the circuit, towing your Z track car, or make a splash at the launch ramp before the boat hits the water.

The Swift Back Profile Of The High-Performance 2026 Nissan Armada NISMO

The 2026 Nissan Armada NISMO introduces an entirely new look and attitude to the full-size SUV segment. It also completes a triad of flagship models for the Armada, with the street-performance NISMO joining the luxurious Platinum and the off-road-focused PRO-4X. Whatever your driving passion, there is an Armada for you.

The Armada NISMO is expected to enter the Dick Smith Nissan of Columbia inventory this fall. Prices and EPA figures will be available closer to the time of its arrival.
