​​How Aurora Blue Metallic Gives The 2025 Nissan Murano A Beautiful Hue​

In the Nissan Stories USA blog, they explained the process of creating a new color for their vehicles. They said that “[c]reating an all-new color is a complex process, especially for one with as much depth as Aurora Blue Metallic. Designers create countless versions of the color to get it just right. They make samples and see how they look in a wide variety of light conditions, on different materials, and during different times of day. Look closely, and you’ll see Aurora Blue Metallic features greenish-blue highlights and reddish shades.” 

Once the Nissan team in Japan creates a color, they send it to the design team in the U.S.A. Since the Murano was developed and produced primarily for our market, it would have to be scrutinized before being approved for production. That includes sending the paint to the assembly plant in Smyrna, Tennessee, to validate the color for production.  

How does this color enhance the 2025 Murano’s exterior design? When the Nissan team created the SUV, the designers “worked closely with engineers to shrink gaps between body panels and create a more seamless, high-quality appearance. Aurora Blue Metallic helps emphasize that attention to detail.”
