Cars.com Reviews The 2025 Nissan Armada
The new 2025 Nissan Armada has certainly been getting noticed since its recent media drive, and not just because of the changes that were made to this new generation model. As Cars.com stated in their verdict, the 2025 Armada “recaptures a lot of the space, power and utility that made the original so popular, making it fully competitive with the rest of the full-size SUV class.”
How did they find the 2025 Armada in their testing? Cars.com stated, “It’s powerful, with a new twin-turbo V-6 engine that shames the previous V-8-powered Armada. It’s luxurious, with a truly lovely leather-lined interior on upper trim levels that’s incredibly comfortable, quiet and loaded with usable tech. And it can go anywhere now thanks to the introduction of a new Pro-4X trim level that brings a taste of the international Nissan Patrol’s off-road prowess to the U.S. market for the first time.”
The twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 makes the difference in the 2025 Armada. With 425 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, it puts down needed power in practically every situation. This also translates into towing power, with a maximum rating of 8,500 pounds using a Class IV tow hitch and 7-pin harness/pre-wiring. Power is sent through a nine-speed automatic transmission, which you can adjust through a pair of paddle shifters. You can also choose between rear or four-wheel drive.
When Cars.com referred to the “truly lovely leather-lined interior,” we should state that they drove two trim levels of the 2025 Armada – the Pro4-X and the Platinum Reserve. While rugged in nature, the Pro4-X also coddles you with off-road-inspired quilted leather seating that is both comfortable and supportive. The red accents make the Pro4-X pop a bit more, inspiring adventures beyond the highway. The Platinum Reserve takes a more luxurious approach using a similar quilted leather upholstery.
Both cabins were designed to keep noise outside and inspire you and your passengers to relax mile after mile. That comes into play when you turn on the 12-speaker Klipsch Premium Audio System through the 14.3-inch Nissan Connect-driven infotainment screen. If you have never heard of Klipsch before, head to any professional recording studio and check out what loudspeakers they use for playback. That is the kind of audio system you will expect inside the 2025 Armada Pro4-X and Platinum Reserve.
Speaking of the Pro4-X, this is the first time the Armada will be offered in this off-road-ready trim. It is rough and tumble, offering an increased 9.6-inch ground clearance, along with aggressive approach, departure, and breakover angles for handling any terrain. Plus, you have additional drive modes to select from, such as Sand, Rock, and Mud/Rut, for those conditions that offer a challenge to your driving skills. You can also see how you’re doing in these challenging conditions through the Off-road Information Display, featuring an inclinometer, slip indicator, and steering angle indicator.
Another useful piece of technology on the Pro4-X is the Invisible Hood View. Displayed on your infotainment screen, this view helps spot obstacles by providing a virtual view “through” the engine bay. You can also see around you through the 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor, which will show you which obstacles to avoid when you drive through the woods.
In all, the 2025 Armada is the large SUV you’ve been waiting for. To check one out, contact us at Dick Smith Nissan of Columbia for a proper introduction to one soon.
